In March 2019, Italian shipbuilding company Fincantieri placed an order with Jeumont Electric for a 22.5 MVA Jegsy-type salient-pole alternator (see illustration) to equip a steam turbine set for Morocco-based Sucreries du Tadla (SUTA), Consumar Morocco’s sugar subsidiary.

The sugar plant is located in Ouled Ayad, northeast of Marrakesh. The alternator will be delivered to Fincantieri in the port of Genoa in November 2019 and will be shipped from Italy to Morocco with the turbine.
