Jeumont Electric participant in European Commission Horizon 2020 project

Jeumont Electric is one of thirteen participants in the European Commission Horizon 2020 project “ESSIAL” (Electrical Steel Structuring, Insulating and Assembling by means of the Laser technologies).
The project, part of the H2020 Technologies for Factories of the Future program, will aim to improve the performance of electric machines and bring new capabilities to magnetic circuits by using sheet metal that has undergone a laser surface-texturing process that preserves the material’s high mechanical and thermal performance. The enhanced materials will also be environmentally-friendly (with zero pollutant emissions throughout their lifetime) and easy to recycle.
Jeumont Electric will build two asynchronous machine prototypes for the project. The magnetic sheet metal insulation will also be 100% recyclable to meet the project’s environmental objectives and help to protect our planet!
